The unit is handled by C2P2 laboratory (Chemistry, Catalysis, Polymers and Processes) and has been designed by the manufacturer Chemspeed Technologies AG.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>About 30 industrial representatives of chemistry, invited by C2P2 laboratory and by Chemspeed, attended this half-day event. During a first part, Vincent Monteil, CNRS research director at C2P2 laboratory, presented how C2P2 was using the tool for its research activities. Amira Abou-Hamdan, VP BU Materials Science at Chemspeed Technologies AG, then explained the many possible uses of the manufacturer\u2019s units.<\/p>\n<p>Didier Bonnet, executive director of Axel\u2019One, presented the conditions of access to the tool via C2P2 or via Axel\u2019One as well as the funding context of the tool. The unit has been funded by the SYSPROD project (for \u00ab approche SYSt\u00e9mique multi-\u00e9chelle pour les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de PRODuction industrielle \u00bb in french) granted by Europe (FEDER), the french State, the Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes Region, the metropole of Lyon, CNRS and IFP Energies Nouvelles as part of the State-Region plan contract 2015-2020.<\/p>\n<p>Then the group moved to the laboratory to attend a demonstration of the unit in operation. The tool is unique in France. It is a fully automated medium-throughput unit under inert atmosphere (argon) for catalysts synthesis and testing.
