The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, recognized at a European level for its composite knowledge, is an important pool for innovative companies. The group – Composites Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (AURA) – is an entity created in 2009, representing 840 companies in the sector with 4 competitiveness clusters (Axela, PLASTIPOLIS, TECHTERA and VIAMECA) and 3 technical centers (AXEL’ONE, IFTH and IPC). The group represents a real desire for innovation through many collaborative R&D projects (65 projects) bringing together the fields of chemistry, textiles and plastics.
