Accelerate the acquisition of kinetic data in heterogeneous catalysis
In a general approach to intensifying experimentation, the objective of this thesis is to define the tools and strategies to accelerate the acquisition of kinetic data in heterogeneous catalysis for the production of (bio)fuels. The thesis focuses on EHD (High Throughput Experimentation) tools of very small sizes which make it possible to parallelize the experiments while using few catalysts (less than 1 cm3). These tools are designed to compare catalysts and we are investigating whether we can use their results to build predictive models. The work will aim to characterize the reactors from a hydrodynamic point of view, to optimize the loading plans and to define the optimum operating ranges in relation to the reactor models.
