CORRTEX

The CorRTEx Consortium for “Corrosion Research, Technology and Expertise” brings together partners to work on corrosion problems using the same equipment: a high pressure and high temperature corrosion loop, hosted on the Axel’One PPI site. The objective is to pool tools ands skills around corrosion in an open-innovation approach. The ambitions are to reproduce in the laboratory, within an instrumented corrosion loop, the severe conditions practiced in the industry.

This unique tool in the region allows to test the corrosion resistance of various materials and to understand the origin of corrosion damage. CorRTEx wishes to develop new tools and methods to detect corrosion early to reduce risks and prevent corrosion of metal structures exposed to complex environments.
