The CP2M Laboratory (formerly LGPC) and the Processium company, established on Axel’One Campus since 2019, created the DATAFAB laboratory. Within their shared laboratory, they carry out projects around the acquisition of process data.
Named DATAFAB, the objective of the Intensification Laboratory for Process Data Acquisition is to increase the competitiveness of companies in chemistry and related sectors (pharmaceutical, agronomic, cosmetics, energy, etc.) through rapid and reliable acquisition of process data using innovative data acquisition and intensified reactor technologies.
The joint laboratory has installed most of its equipment on Axel’One Campus. This implementation makes it possible to carry out experiments over long periods of time (up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) with larger samples but above all to concentrate a set of technologies in the same location. The laboratory has several tools such as micro-reactors. Several people from the CP2M and Processium teams are present on Axel’One Campus. Thanks to the skills of the two CP2M partners and equipment, the joint laboratory can work on industrial cases with extremely rapid and very exothermic reactions.
DATAFAB will also go further by coupling these new devices with design methods (expert systems, DoE (Design of Experiments)) to save time and resources. DATAFAB will thus lead to breakthrough innovations in the field of laboratory reactors and industrial reactors.
