LPMA

Implanted on:

The Polymers and Advanced Materials Laboratory (LPMA), set up by Solvay and the CNRS in 2006, brings together about fifteen researchers, technicians, doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows. Their work focuses on semi-crystalline polymers, elastomers, polymer blends and loaded polymers, focusing on their rheological and mechanical properties. The scientific approach combines theory, modeling and fine experimental characterization of the polymer microstructure, to understand its properties. Through this research, the objective is to develop and manufacture materials with controlled properties that meet major challenges for Solvay: to significantly reduce the weight of the various components of transport vehicles and control the life span of technical plastics, composites and rubbers.
