Speed-up of heterogeneous catalyst kinetics measurement using High Throughput Experiment
In the general trend of process and experimentation intensification, the objective of the thesis is to define the best tools and strategies to measure kinetics in heterogeneous catalysis for (bio)fuel production. The thesis will focus on High Throuput Experimental tools (THE) that allows massive parallelisation with very little catalysts. Those tools were designed for catalyst screening and we want to know if their results can be used to construct predictive models. The work will characterize the hydrodynamics of the reactors, optimize their loading and define the optimum operating range in relation to suitable reactor models.
